Abstract
The sciatic nerve is an important anatomical structure that needs to be considered during hip replacement in initial and
revision cases. Being close to the surgical field makes it vulnerable to injury. This can have a profound and far-reaching
impact on patients undergoing hip surgery. In this article, we discuss the deformities and adjustments of the sciatic nerve
suitable for the traditional posterior approach of the hip to protect the sciatic nerve from injury or injury.
