Pediatric Rota virus in Bent-Al Huda hospital (Al Nasiriya city) during the scholar year (2022-2023)

Abstract
The research collected integrated information (150 cases) in Bint-Al Huda Hospital about cases of rotavirus in children in the Nasiriyah city.
We performed the statistical analysis with the so-called test Descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage)
Results showed that Rotavirus infection occurs at ages less than one year (63%) of the collected cases, but in the ages of 1 to 5 years, the infection decreased until 31% and 6% of collected cases at in the age of 6 to 10 years.
Our results showed the most common clinical signs are fever in 58% and vomiting in 75%, cough at 6% and 4% had shortness of breath.
The infections were very high among children living in villages and rural (53%) but infection rate in the city at 47%. The results indicated also that (89 %) of cases admitted to the hospital require a few days (3 days) only and Also, the results indicate that 11% of those who remain in the hospital are from 5-8 days. furthermore, the present study shows the impact of different demographic variables on the positive of rotavirus among children.
